The Butterfly Room - 12 to 24 months
The Butterflies Room is dedicated to 12-24 month old children, supporting them at a critical point in their development as they start to learn more about the world around them.
Supporting the developmental needs of each child
We recognise that each child develops at a different rate, so we take their individual needs into account when deciding when is best for them to join the Butterflies. Your child is assigned an individual keyworker, who ensures that all the activities in the room are based on your child’s developmental next steps.
This means that all
children – whether they attend full-time or part-time – will get a complete,
balanced and stimulating learning experience to ensure they’re developing to
the best of their ability.
Learning through play
Your child will cared for in groups smaller than 15 children so that they can receive the attention they need to thrive whilst developing their social skills with other children. The room offers each child extensive opportunities for exploration and sensory play as they begin to learn more about the environment around them.
All our learning is play based and your child will benefit from going outside in all weather at least twice a day, giving them the opportunity to climb, slide and explore outdoors.
Staff are always present to support children in playing safely and extending their play.
