Our Nurseries

Caring for children since 1996, Alpha Kindergarten School is dedicated to giving every single child the best possible chance in life. Our years of experience giving the best quality care has shown us time and time again the benefits that nursery can bring to each child and the massive head-start it can give them in life. We know that by treating each of our children as individuals, they can always reach their full potential.

AT ALPHA KINDERGARTEN, CHILDREN ALWAYS COME FIRST.

Spread across two settings, on Fletton Avenue and in Orton Longueville, we provide a nurturing environment for children to flourish in a happy, stimulating and safe atmosphere, convenient for working parents in and around Peterborough. We care for children from birth until it is time to make the leap to "big school" - working with local schools to help make the transition easier for our children and prepare them for life at school.

Alpha Kindergarten is open weekdays from 8am until 6pm every day of the year, excluding bank holidays. Open all year round, we do not have an annual close-down period.

OUR TEAM
To offer the best possible standard of care for your child, we place an emphasis on building the best possible team. Our experienced and qualified staff provide care, encouragement and stimulation in a safe environment full of cuddles and laughter. All our team are trained in food hygiene, paediatric first-aid and child protection so that you always know that your child is in the best hands.

Every member of our team benefits from continuous training and refresher courses to improve their skills, broaden their knowledge and to constantly improve our high standards - keeping us at the forefront of quality childcare.

We recognise that continuity is important for children as they grow and so we are proud of our many long standing members of staff who provide a recognisable face for children and a trusted contact for parents throughout their time at Alpha.

OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU
To get the best for our children working in partnership with parents is vital. The bonds we form with our parents enable us to provide the best care, individually tailored to each child, incorporating parents views and opinions in their child's development at nursery. Regular verbal contact is supported by "My day..." books or forms for the younger children to keep parents up-to-date with their child's progress and important information each day. Reciprocally, we often ask parents to let us know what they have been doing with their child at home as well as favourite foods, games and songs to help provide a continuity for learning and development.

Parents develop a relationship with their child's key person - working together to keep parents informed of the next step in their child's development and helping to address any concerns which mums and dads might have about their child as they grow up. In this way, parents and staff build bonds based on trust to ensure that everyone at home is kept up to date about how their child is progressing and how continuity between home and nursery can be maintained.

Parents are also kept up-to-date with nursery news with our regular newsletters, parents and open evenings. In addition parents have access to our website and noticeboard for general nursery information and developments.
