Fletton: Trips and Events

Throughout the year, we frequently go on day trips sometimes in small groups or class groups. A fun day out for everyone, these trips give our children an opportunity to discover new places and learn new things in a different setting. Trips to farms, the park and the library open up a whole new range of experiences to share with their friends.

These excursions are very exciting for the children and, to ensure their  safety and security, we keep make individual risk assessments for each trip and provide an appropriate ratio of staff to children with first aiders and equipment on hand for any bumps and scrapes along the way.

We frequently have events throughout the year inside the nursery. We hold celebrations throughout the year as well as our popular Summer Family BBQ and winter nativity. Parents involvement is encouraged in our events, providing a chance socialise and interact with other parents and our staff, helping to create a working relationship in a social environment.

OUR TRIPS
Our regular trips to the library and the park give our children the opportunity to learn and develop in a different environment, learning about the world around them and their community in a controlled and secure way. These are complemented by trips and outings to other exciting locations, such as Sacrewell Farm, the museum, Big Sky Adventure Play Centre and the Key Theatre - giving the children the chance to visit new places and explore new things.
